Pre Prep

The Pre Prep consists of Reception, Years 1 and 2, situated in the main building of Fonthill Lodge School. It has its own developing play area and provides a supportive and stimulating environment for our younger children. This helps them to develop a variety of skills and achieve their full potential as well as learning how to communicate, work and play together. We seek to nurture a love of learning and life and nurture self-confidence.

The Pre Prep offers small classes with excellent pupil/teacher ratios and the children have access to a broad and well-balanced curriculum of intellectual enquiry, creativity and an excitement for learning. The curriculum works alongside the National Curriculum guidelines and at the end of Year 2 our pupils take the National end of Key Stage assessment Tests.

Some specialist teaching is introduced in Reception for Music, French, Dance and Games. In Year 1 and 2 we also introduce Swimming and Design Technology. After school clubs are available from Reception.

The Pre-Prep is open from 8.00am to 5pm in Reception and to 6 pm in Years 1 and 2.
