Music

Musical appreciation is encouraged from the nursery classes and the children learn to listen, play and compose while enjoying singing and playing musical instruments. We encourage all children to learn a musical instrument and individual lessons are available in clarinet, drums, flute, guitar, piano, recorder, brass, violin and voice. Each age group has a choir which performs regularly. There is a music concert in the Spring term when individual children from Year 3 upwards perform instrumental and drama items.

The nursery children take part in a concert before half-term in the Summer.

Children in Reception, Years 1, 2 and 3 take part in a concert at the end of the Summer term.

Ballet: Each Friday lessons are given by specialist teachers.
