East Grinstead Swimming Club Gala
| Monday, 15th March 2010 at East Grinstead Swimming Club by Georgie Lee On Monday, 15th March, a team of nine children from Year 6 and Year 4 went to
the Olympos Pool in East Grinstead to take part in a swimming gala organised by
East Grinstead Swimming Club.
11 local schools took part. All the swimmers swam very well. In particular, Willow Plater came 2nd in her 25m Freestyle heat. Toby Sammarco came 2nd in the final of the Boys 25m Freestyle, and both Amelia Ellis and Darcy Capps reached the finals in the Year 6 Freestle races. Millie Wood came 3rd in her 25m Backstroke race and Emma Sneddon, competing against Year 6 children, came a close 4th in her 25m Breastroke race. Molly Taylor-Prevett, Lara O'Connor and Lucas Day swam well in the relays with Molly, Lara, Lucas and Millie winning their heat of the float relay. It was a long and hot evening and everyone did very well. Thank you to the parents for their support. |
