On Wednesday 5^th May, Fonthill Lodge played Ashdown House at rounders. In the first half, we were fielding and Louise was bowling well. Evie was great at backstop and Scarlett got two people out at first post. Emma was good at second post as well. When we batted, Louise and Emma both hit the ball well and got excellent rounders. We were all hitting the ball well. The final score was 17.5 to Fonthill and 8.5 to Ashdown House. Thank you for a lovely match tea, Mrs Blackmore.

U11 Rounders vs. St. Aubyns - by Chloe Taylor (6W)

On Wednesday 5th May, Fonthill Lodge played a rounders match against St. Aubyns. In the first innings, we were batting and they got us out very quickly. Molly got three rounders in a row which was amazing. Quite a few of us got half rounders. When the last player was out, we swapped around. St. Aubyns weren't hitting very many balls and we managed to get some of them out at first post or second post. At the end of the first innings the score was 7 - 3.5 to us.

In the second innings we played well and we got rounders from Phoebe, Izzy and Amelia H. Georgia made an excellent catch to get a player out. The final score was 14.5 to 11.5. Well done to the whole team - it was a great game.
