On Wednesday 12^th May, Fonthill Lodge played a triangular tournament at Tavistock and Summerhill. The first match was against Lancing. We were fielding first  - we got some good bowls from Louise and some good fielding from Scarlett. We were a bit surprised as they were good batters. After their team had concluded their batting we all swapped places and the Fonthillians commenced their batting. After a couple of people had had a bat, Evie hit the ball and ran like the wind and scored a full rounder. Emma also scored a rounder by the skin of her teeth. A couple of other people also scored a rounder. At the end of the first game, the score was 6 ½ – 3 to Fonthill – HORRAY!

We then played Tavistock and Summerhill and the final score was 6-7 to Tavistock. It was a very close game but we didn’t bat as well.

Cricket vs. Ashdown House - by Max Murphy (6W)

On Wednesday 12th May, Fonthill Lodge played Ashdown House at Cricket. We batted first and everyone did well as we only lost 3 wickets. Josh, Max and Thomas hit some good shots.

When it was our turn to field, we bowled well and got 6 of their players out. We fielded well and won by 14 runs.
