Trip to Fairthorne Manor

On Friday 26th March, 47 children travelled to Fairthorne Manor for the annual Residential trip. As soon as we arrived, we were put into 4 activity groups and were sent outside to go on the zip wires or kayaking! Later on, we moved into our accommodation, Heald House and then had a great dinner. In the evening, we played games in the hall and had hot chocolate and biscuits. After an exciting day, the children found it quite tricky to get to sleep!

In the morning, after a cooked breakfast, we went off in our activity groups again, to go abseiling, go on the obstacle course and go kayaking. We did 2 activities in the morning, then it was lunch and then 2 more activities in the afternoon, including the burma bridge and the blind trail. Over the weekend, a few children got very wet raft building and kayaking and the drying room in Heald House was very full! We had a BBQ on Saturday night and then a camp fire where we held our talent show and sang songs with the activity leaders. We then all went to sleep absolutely shattered!

On Sunday, we had 2 more activities and then a brilliant roast lunch before visiting the tuck shop and then driving home.

We all had an excellent time and can’t wait until next year.
